Abstract
The Jahili period is called the pre-Islam era, in which the Arab people lived with certain cultural characteristics, which are praised in the Holy Quran and religious texts. Knowing the Jahili culture and discovering its hidden angles is important because it helps Islamic societies to avoid the Jahili culture. Although, valuable works have been done in the field of understanding Jahili culture. However, this research aims to investigate Jahili culture from the point of view of verses and traditions, which has been addressed with the library and analytical-descriptive method and by using religious sources and texts, and has reached the following results.
1. Ignorance is a Quranic term that is used for the pre-Islamic period and similar periods with culture and characteristics.
2. Jahili culture is a set of beliefs, values and norms that are in opposition to Quranic culture and Islam.
3. Holy Quran and Islamic religion have fought with Jahili culture in direct and indirect ways.
