Abstract

The Quran is not a historical book that only tells us the story of the predecessors, but rather it is a book of guidance and tells people whatever brings happiness and is the clear truth so that they can act on it. Considering the narrations of the Infallibles (AS), Surah Al-Kahf can be one of the most important Surahs in explaining the affairs of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) and the duties of their followers. Especially in the story of the Companions of the Cave, important and useful cognitive and practical lessons have been given for the followers of the Ahlul Bayt (AS). To achieve the aforementioned point, in the present study, the rule of jurisprudence, application and cancellation of the characteristic has been applied in the verses of the Holy Quran and the narrations of the Ahlul Bayt (AS), and the entire research is an answer to the question: What is the relationship between the story of the Companions of the Cave and the guardianship of the Ahlul Bayt (AS)? The analogy of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) to the Cave, to explain their position of guidance and immunity from sedition, to exemplify the issue of return as one of the most prominent Shiite beliefs, and to explain the issue of taqiyyah and avoiding pluralism, are the most important findings of this research, which was obtained through a descriptive and analytical method.
